When your soul is torn apart and your heart feels empty, how do you breathe?
When the flames of hell burn bright and all hope seems lost, how do you survive?
When war is coming for those you love and darkness prepares to strike, how do you face the wrath?
When truths are awoken and the supernatural world is brought to its knees, how do you rise back up?
The time for questions has passed.
It is time to act.
Time to fight.
Time to conquer evil once and for all.
May courage drive you.
May you know no fear.
May we all rest in peace, wherever our pieces may fall.
This one wasn’t quite clicking for me at the 36% mark, so I decided to DNF 🙁
Two things took me out of the story: the number of steamy scenes (which honestly surprised me because I usually enjoy them) and Rhea’s character.
In the previous book, I found Rhea a bit frustrating, and that feeling got a lot worse in this installment. Even though I understand her difficult past, her near-constant negativity toward everyone and everything made it hard for me to connect with her at all.
It’s a bummer I couldn’t finish the story, maybe I’ll give it another go in the future.
